The company also confirmed the appointment of Feargal O’Rourke, current IDA Chairman and former Managing Partner of PwC Ireland, as Chairman of the Board.
The raise will enable Outmin to accelerate engineering hires, deepen AI capabilities, and scale delivery for a growing base of accounting firm partners, focused on margin improvement, efficiency, and modernising the core bookkeeping model. Additionally, the funding will enable Outmin to broaden its international reach, particularly in the North West of England, where it already has an emerging presence.
“This funding marks an exciting new phase for Outmin,” said Ross Hunt, CEO and Founder of Outmin. “It will enable us to continue our growth in Ireland and expand our presence in the UK, especially in the North West which is a hotbed of activity. It’s about delivering a real system that changes how firms operate. With Feargal’s experience and leadership, we’re more equipped than ever to bring automated bookkeeping to more businesses and help accounting firms navigate the future of bookkeeping and finance.”
Feargal O’Rourke brings a unique perspective from decades at the forefront of the global accounting profession. His appointment signals Outmin’s commitment to solving long-standing challenges in the industry, including talent shortages, inefficiencies, and succession risks.
“Outmin is building something accounting firms truly need,” said O’Rourke. “It’s not a short-term fix, it’s a foundational shift. The team understands where the gaps are in the current model, and they’re delivering a system that helps firms scale and focus their people on higher-value work.”
Outmin’s AI Bookkeeper automates key financial workflows, including document collection, invoice processing, reconciliation, and reporting. It combines automation with expert oversight to deliver accurate, up-to-date books, without growing headcount.
According to Outmin, more than 350 businesses utilise the platform, and they have established partnerships with 11 accounting practices. Businesses report saving more than 200 hours annually on bookkeeping, while some partner firms report as much as €10,000 in additional revenue per client onboarded to Outmin by reallocating existing staff to higher-value tasks.
“Every accounting firm is facing pressure to do more with less,” said David Kelleher, Co-Founder and Chief Revenue Officer at Outmin. “The future belongs to firms that invest in better systems, not just people. We’re already partnered with forward-thinking firms like Nexio, who are providing valuable insights to help us optimise our product and create something that gives accounting practices a real competitive advantage.”

Ecocem proud to announce that John Reddy, their Director of Concrete Technology Deployment, has been appointed to the role of President of the Institute of Concrete Technology (ICT), the international professional body for concrete technologists and engineers.
Reddy is the first person from Ireland to hold the role of President of ICT, which has a term of two years, and follows his term of Vice President of the organisation since 2023. He will be joined by Veronika Elfmarkova, who becomes the body’s new Vice President, ahead of her becoming the ICT’s first ever female President in 2027. Elfmarkova is Head of Commercial RMX at Holcim and is based at the Group’s headquarters in Switzerland.
Speaking on his appointment, John Reddy said: “Now is perhaps the most exciting and critical time to be a concrete technologist as demand is increasing for concrete in terms of performance, volume and Net Zero ambitions. I am honoured to take on the leadership of the ICT and it is my ambition to elevate further the status of the ICT internationally and to see concrete technologists develop their roles in delivering solutions to improve further the concrete we use today.”
A native of Dublin, Reddy becomes the 14th President of ICT, which today is staging its 53rd Annual Convention Symposium in the Trinity Business School in Trinity College Dublin, the first time the annual event has been staged outside of the UK.
The theme of this year’s ICT symposium is The Pursuit of Net Zero Concrete: Materials, Design and Practical Applications, with speakers drawn from industry and academia in both Ireland and the UK. The event is being chaired by Professor Mark Richardson of University College Dublin, while Trinity College Dublin Professor Roger West – a central figure in the teaching of concrete technology in Ireland – will deliver the keynote address entitled, ‘Concrete epiphanies’.
A regular speaker at international symposia, Reddy has published a number of international research academic papers and trade articles on concrete technology. His links to ICT date back to 2009, when he joined as a corporate member of the organisation on attaining a Diploma in Advanced Concrete Technology. He subsequently served on its Council for several years including as Chair of Marketing and as Vice President for the last two years.
He became a chartered engineer from Engineers Ireland in 2010 and completed an MSc in Advanced Concrete Technology in Queens University in Belfast in 2015, where his thesis was an investigation into thermal activation of low carbon cement.
As Director of Concrete Technology Deployment, Reddy is helping to drive the rollout of Ecocem’s breakthrough technology ACT, which can deliver a 70% decarbonisation of cement at scale globally. Ecocem last week announced an additional investment of €170 million to construct four new production lines in France and to accelerate delivery of ACT to the market.
