Deirdre Ardagh, Data Protection Officer and Senior Regulatory Counsel,
Three Ireland
Three, Ireland’s largest telecommunications provider, announces the appointment of Deirdre Ardagh as Three Ireland’s Data Protection Officer and Senior Regulatory Counsel. Deirdre provides in-house counsel on matters of data protection and regulation and is deeply engaged in fostering a compliance-driven culture while steering strategic growth initiatives. Deirdre works closely with her counterparts across CK Hutchinson in the data protection and privacy field, regularly engaging on privacy projects, GDPR compliance and AI governance.
Externally, Deirdre represents Three Ireland before regulatory bodies, in both policy development and legal matters. With many years of experience, as both a barrister and a solicitor, Deirdre provides timely legal counsel on data protection, commercial law, and regulatory compliance. Prior to her appointment, Deirdre acted as Senior Privacy and Public Policy Counsel at Three Ireland, was formerly a Partner in the Corporate and Commercial Law team with Sherwin O’Riordan as well as having worked in the area of EU Regulatory Affairs with IDA Ireland.
Deirdre holds a Master’s Degree in Economics from University College Dublin, a Master’s Degree in Public Administration from The Institute of Public Administration and a Bachelor of Law Degree from The Honourable Society of King’s Inn. As a practicing solicitor, Deirdre is a member of the Law Society of Ireland.
Mandy Young, Group Director of Revenue,
Trigon Hotels
Mandy Young has recently been appointed as Group Director of Revenue at Trigon Hotels, the Cork-based group which operates The Metropole Hotel and the Cork International Hotel.
The Cork native started her career in an advertising agency in Paris working for over 10 years on global accounts including Nestle and l’Oreal.
She has extensive experience in revenue growth for domestic and international companies here in Ireland. She also has experience working in the newspaper, airline, leisure centre and car rental sectors. Mandy will now apply her years of experience to the hotel industry.

Mandy lives in Ballygarvan and brings her skills in revenue management, multi-market development and marketing to the hotel group in her home county. The professional also served as the Chair of the Marketing Institute Southern Region.

Marie Meehan, Area Director for the West, Midlands and North East,

Bank of Ireland has appointed Marie Meehan to the role of Area Director for the West, Midlands and North East, which includes over 500 colleagues and 61 branches across 14 counties. Marie has more than 20 years’ experience working in financial services with extensive leadership experience across branch banking, fund administration and asset management. A native of Galway, she holds a BA (Irish & Economics) from UCD, a H.Dip in Financial Services and a Professional Diploma in Financial Advice (QFA).
Bank of Ireland has 182 branches across the island of Ireland, 169 in Ireland and 13 in Northern Ireland. The Bank recently announced an investment of more than €60 million in branch improvements, including its largest single investment in ATMs in the last decade. Commenting on the appointment, Alan Durcan, Director, Distribution Channels, Retail Ireland, said:
“The face-to-face service which our branches provide is an important part of Bank of Ireland’s offering as a full service retail bank and Marie’s proven knowledge, experience and dedication to supporting our customers will be a huge asset in this role.”
Marie will oversee the Bank’s branch network in Cavan, Monaghan, Louth, Meath, Donegal, Sligo, Leitrim, Mayo, Roscommon, Galway, Laois, Offaly, Longford, Westmeath.

THE Society of Chartered Surveyors Ireland (SCSI) has announced the appointment of Kevin Hollingsworth as its new President. Kevin, Managing Director of Omega Surveying Services, brings extensive experience and a distinguished career in the building surveying industry to his new role.
Kevin, who formerly held the role of Vice President of the SCSI for two years, has been instrumental in positioning Omega Surveying Services as a trusted partner for Owners’ Management Companies (OMCs) in the Government Legacy Defects Scheme. This initiative focuses on remediating structural defects in numerous apartments and duplexes built between 1991 and 2014. Under Kevin’s leadership, Omega Surveying Services has gained a reputation for meticulous attention to detail and unwavering dedication, resulting in high-quality and reliable project outcomes.
Omega Surveying Services is a part of Murphy Geospatial, which was recently acquired by the global architecture, engineering, and consulting firm, Woolpert. Kevin’s expertise and strategic vision have been crucial in integrating Omega’s operations with its parent company, ensuring continued client satisfaction and business growth.

Helen Nolan, Board Chair
Aviva Life & Pensions Ireland
Aviva Life & Pensions Ireland DAC recently appointed Helen Nolan as Chair of its Board replacing Paul Raleigh who stepped down from the position after six years at the end of May.
In her executive career, she held a number of senior roles with Bank of Ireland Group, including Group Secretary and Group Chief Internal Auditor. She is also a non-executive director of Dole plc, Companjon Insurance DAC and the Institute of Directors Ireland.
