By Business & Finance The Gift Voucher Shop (GVS), the Irish company behind the Central Bank regulated One4all multi-store gift card, has announced that it will hire another 35 people to fill seasonal roles ahead of the Christmas peak in gift card.
The company’s sales team will increase by 50%, the customer service team will more than double in size and the fulfilment team will undergo a seven-fold increase to cope with the increased demand in the final quarter of 2013.
The 35 seasonal recruits will be employed in a combination of full and part-time roles throughout November and December and into January 2014.
The new recruits will work primarily in the areas of customer service, fulfilment, accounts and corporate sales. The company has already experienced an early peak on its ‘corporate’ business where companies use gift cards as a tax efficient Christmas bonus for their workers.

Smart shoppers too are gearing up for the festivities and we’ve already started to see the early increases in purchases of Christmas gift cards by companies large and small right across Ireland. One4all cards are a seriously smart, tax efficient way to reward employees and companies are increasingly switching on to the idea. ”
As well as the extra direct employment, GVS also manages its UK call centre activity from Waterford using Rigney Dolphin, where seven new staff will join the existing team to accommodate the Christmas rush on products such as the Post Office Christmas Club and Budget Card.
