Our proprietary technology identifies candidates that would not be discovered via standard searching technologies. In response to client needs, Starcircle develops innovative technologies to enhance the client experience.

Starcircle offers clients an engine to drive true dexterity and diversity in their hiring process. This is proving to be a highly effective and results-driven strategy for building effective teams.

Who’s behind it?

Starcircle was founded in 2007 by CEO, James Galvin, originally from Cork. James has founded and run several companies and also has been involved as a co-founder, investor, and advisor to numerous startups in Ireland, the UK, the US, and Asia. James began his career with a passion for coding.

From 2007 onwards, most of his work was related to HR and staffing industry. Back then, he found that recruitment systems were very outdated. Recruiters wasted far too much time on manual tasks that could have been automated or outsourced. Interviewers relied too much on instinct and did not use data to drive better decision-making. James felt that a little bit of tech knowledge could go a long way.

When James founded Starcircle back in 2007, it was to primarily search for resumes on job boards, matching and submitting to active requirements. Over the years, a new way of sourcing has gradually unfolded. The rise of social media was accompanied by an explosion of tools and technology promising a silver bullet to solve talent sourcing needs. Starcircle has developed a better way of sourcing talent, one that is enabled by technology, informed by data, and guided by expertise.

The company has doubled its workforce in 2021 across its locations in Ireland, Singapore, North America, and Vietnam. Starcircle delivers for clients through a diverse international team of dedicated talent analysts and expert advisors who listen, analyse and respond to the specific needs of each of their clients.

We will also launch our first sourcing hackathon in 2022. We employ some of the world’s best talent sourcers on our teams so this should be fun and collaborative.

We are very much looking forward to hosting a number of client events in 2022 as we have missed that face-to-face client interaction.  2022 should be a pivotal year for us.
