This week sees new and notable appointments at OpenAI, Pinterest, Springboard Communications, and Insight Private Clients.

Mark Bambury, Head of EMEA Ads
OpenAI

OpenAI has announced the appointment of Mark Bambury as its Head of Ads for the EMEA region. Bambury will lead the EMEA ads business as it scales across the region. His appointment follows the rollout of ChatGPT Ads across 31 European markets and the opening of beta self-serve Ads Manager directly to eligible advertisers in those markets. Startups, small and medium-sized businesses and larger advertisers can now create and manage campaigns directly, while advertisers can also continue to buy through agency and technology partners.

Prior to OpenAI, he was Senior Director of Brand Partnerships at Roblox, where he helped establish its advertising business by partnering with some of the world’s largest brands. Before Roblox, he led teams and functions at Google EMEA and Twitter/X across EMEA and the US.

“I couldn’t be more excited to join OpenAI at this moment. ChatGPT is creating an entirely new way for businesses and people to discover one another, and the opportunity across EMEA is enormous. I’m looking forward to working with clients to bring that opportunity to life,” said Mark Bambury, Head of EMEA Ads at OpenAI.

Fintan Gillespie, Managing Director
Pinterest

Pinterest has announced the appointment of Fintan Gillespie as its UK and Ireland Managing Director, effective tomorrow.

In his new role, Gillespie will lead Pinterest’s UK and Ireland business, overseeing the local team, working with advertisers and partners in one of Pinterest’s most important international markets. Fintan joins the team at a time when Pinterest’s UK business is seeing strong engagement from leading brands and advertisers, including Levi’s, Primark and Samsung, with partners increasingly turning to the platform to support their advertising strategies and connect with users at the intersection of inspiration, intent and action.

He brings significant experience across digital advertising and commercial leadership. He joins Pinterest from Snap, where he held senior roles focused on advertising partnerships globally as well as in the UK market. Fintan also spent time at Google in the UK as agency lead. His experience working closely with brands, agencies and partners across a fast-evolving digital landscape will be central to optimising Pinterest’s growth in the UK and Ireland.

Commenting on his appointment, Fintan Gillespie, incoming UK Managing Director at Pinterest, said, “Pinterest has built a uniquely differentiated platform for users and advertisers alike, engineered to move people from inspiration to real-life action. What excites me most about this role is the opportunity to build on the strong foundations already in place in the UK and Ireland and work with the team, our agency partners and advertisers to help more brands connect with people on Pinterest in relevant and meaningful ways.”

Aimée Millar & Art O’Mahony, Client Director & Client Manager
Springboard Communications

Aimée Millar is joining Springboard Communications as Client Director, alongside Art O’Mahony, who joins as a Client Manager.

Millar is Chair of Strategic Development and a Non-Executive Director at Aoibhneas Domestic Violence Refuge. She was a finalist for the PRII Young Communication Professional of the Year in 2025 and was appointed a PRCA Next Generation Leader in 2026. Previously, she worked as a Special Adviser in the Department of An Taoiseach and as a Senior Legislative Affairs Advisor.

Commenting on her appointment, Aimée Millar said, “Public affairs works when you see change coming, understand where the decision is actually being made, and engage early and credibly. Springboard already has real depth across local and regional government, and a strong record in energy, infrastructure and the public sector. My job is to connect that to national policy, and to build a practice in line with clients’ needs.”

Art O’Mahony joins Springboard following an international career across public affairs, policy and communications. He most recently worked as a Policy and Communications Specialist in the Victorian State Parliament in Melbourne, where he worked on projects such as the 2025 Australian federal election and a successful campaign to hold a parliamentary inquiry into the 2026 Victorian bushfires. At Springboard, he will work across advocacy programmes, stakeholder engagement and political monitoring.

Susie Horgan, Managing Director and Founder of Springboard Communications, commented, “The decisions that shape our clients’ operating environment are rarely made in one place. They start in a council chamber, an internal party-political meeting, or a regulator’s office and they finish in a Government department, an Oireachtas committee or the Dáil chamber. Very few advisers work the whole of that chain. With Aimée and Art, and with teams in Dublin and Cork, we do.”

Brian Delaney, Chief Investment Strategist
Insight Private Clients

The leading financial planning advisory firm, Insight Private Clients, has announced the appointment of Brian Delaney as Chief Investment Strategist. Delaney is a seasoned investment professional with over 25 years of experience advising
institutional and private clients across global markets. His career as a senior investment analyst spans a diverse range of investment houses, including Aon in Ireland, where he spent more than 17 years providing strategic oversight of €2.5 billion in active multi-asset solutions for Irish and UK clients.

Speaking on the appointment, Norman Barry, Managing Director of Insight Private Clients, said, “Insight Private Clients is entering an important phase of growth. We consider ourselves a unique investment firm, with a people-first philosophy, which I believe is rapidly disappearing from the sector. As other firms are merging, we continue to grow strategically and organically. Brian’s appointment reflects our commitment to building a best-in-class investment function that is grounded in strong governance, rigorous analysis and a clear focus on our clients’ individual requirements.”

Commenting on his new role, Brian Delaney said, “I am honoured to take on the role of Chief Investment Strategist at Insight Private Clients. The firm has a strong reputation for disciplined financial planning and long-term thinking, and I look forward to deepening our investment research, strengthening our oversight processes and ensuring our portfolios remain resilient and relevant in a rapidly changing market environment.”
