Primark has opened its latest US store in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
The store, located at the King of Prussia Mall, is the company’s second opening in the US following the September opening of its Boston flagship.
The new store brings the total number of Primark stores to 297 across 10 countries.
With this opening, Primark is creating 490 new jobs for the area.
Primark’s King of Prussia Mall store is located on the Plaza Lower Level and encompasses 80,700 sq. ft of retail space.
In addition to King of Prussia and Boston, Primark has announced plans for a further six stores across north-east America. Upcoming stores include Danbury Fair (Danbury, Connecticut), Willow Grove Mall (Pennsylvania), Freehold Raceway Mall (New Jersey), South Shore Plaza (Massachusetts) Staten Island Mall (Staten Island, NY) and Burlington Mall (Massachusetts). Primark also opened its distribution centre in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania in September.
Paul Marchant, chief executive, Primark, said: “We are thrilled to launch our second US store in such a premier retail location as the King of Prussia Mall. Our first mall opening comes with added excitement as we approach the holiday shopping season with our offering of amazing fashion at amazing prices for all the family.”
