Food retailer Iceland has opened the doors to its newest store in Dublin today, at the Northside Shopping Centre in Coolock, following the launch of Iceland in Tipperary, which opened in the Showgrounds Shopping Centre, Clonmel three weeks ago.

The new store openings have created a total of 55 jobs, bringing the number of staff in Iceland Ireland to 250 across 12 stores.

Northside sees 35 new jobs for the Coolock area today, and is a welcome addition to one of north Dublin’s longest established shopping centres, as well as being the second Iceland store in the area.

Ron Metcalfe, managing director of Iceland Ireland commented: “We’re delighted to announce the additions of our new Dublin and Tipperary stores and look forward to bringing great value and a brand you can trust to even more customers in Coolock, as well as Clonmel, across our fresh groceries and frozen products.

He continued: “Iceland has been warmly welcomed by locals in both areas, and I would like to officially welcome all of the new staff across both stores who have joined the Iceland team and will help us deliver the power of frozen to Irish customers.’’
