Entering its fourth year, the Business & Finance ESG Awards, in partnership with Grant Thornton, reward organisations that are striving to advance Environmental, Social, and Governance initiatives.
This year saw a significant increase in the number of applications, highlighting the continued importance of ESG across all sectors of the Irish economy.
Janice Daly, Partner and Sustainability Lead at Grant Thornton, said, “ In an increasingly complex business landscape, this year’s finalists have shown how integrating ESG matters into business strategy can deliver long‑term value and real impact. Many have continued to progress their sustainability commitments despite the broader uncertainties facing businesses today.”
Clare Kilmartin, Chief Operating Officer at Business & Finance, added, “We are seeing organisations move beyond commitments to deliver tangible, measurable impact. The shortlisted companies demonstrate not only innovation but a deep commitment to embedding sustainability into every aspect of their operations, setting a powerful benchmark for others to follow.”

Ireland is projected to cut greenhouse gas emissions by 29% by 2030, well below the national target of 51%, according to EPA figures. The shortfall places increasing pressure on businesses to accelerate their response to the climate challenge.
The ESG Awards recognise organisations making that shift, benchmarking progress across 18 categories, including ESG Innovation, Diversity, Equality & Inclusion, and ESG Company of the Year.
