Business & Finance Media Group is proud to announce the shortlists for the Business & Finance Awards 2020, in association with KPMG Ireland.

Business & Finance Media Group is proud to announce the shortlist for the Business & Finance Awards 2020, in association with KPMG Ireland. The five categories across the programme include the 2020 Company of the Year; Business Person of the Year; Elevation Award in association with Enterprise Ireland; FDI of the Year in association with IDA Ireland, and the Diversity, Equality & Inclusion Award. The DE&I Award is now in its second year, and was won by Bank of Ireland in its inaugural year.

Seamus Hand, Managing Partner, KPMG Ireland, spoke at the launch of the 2020 Business & Finance Awards Programme: “The Business & Finance Awards in association with KPMG, recognises great leaders, outstanding business people and high performing organisations. The past year has been incredibly challenging and the resilience of Irish business leaders has been remarkable and is to be commended. We’re very proud to be associated once again with these awards.”

Ian Hyland, publisher of Business & Finance, welcomed the launch of the Business & Finance Awards Programme, saying: “I’m delighted to continue the tradition of honouring the business leaders across the country and to celebrate the perseverance and innovation of the business community.”

Business & Finance, in association with KPMG, recognises excellence in business through the ‘Company of the Year’ award. The Company of the Year award recognises the company which best demonstrates outstanding business leadership, sustainable growth, innovative strategy, strong financial returns and employee development.

Companies eligible for Company of the Year are Irish-businesses operating out of or domicile in Ireland. Companies are judged on a number of entry criteria including performance, strategy, turnover, revenue and market share growth.

The Elevation Award was launched in 2018 in partnership with Enterprise Ireland. The Award complements the well-established Company of the Year Award which recognises Irish companies above this revenue threshold.

Now in its second year, the Diversity, Equality & Inclusion Award was established as part of the Business & Finance Awards programme to recognise a company with Irish operations that is at the forefront of improving the lives of its employees, while also enhancing the civic environment in which they operate.

The Diversity, Equality & Inclusion Award will be awarded to a company that can demonstrate a holistic and long-term commitment to Diversity, Equality & Inclusion (D,E&I) within its culture.
