By Business & Finance An Taoiseach Enda Kenny TD has announced the creation of 120 highly skilled technology roles at Xanadu, a global technology and services provider based in Cork.
The Irish startup, founded in 2011 with eight employees, is now an international market leader in the area of technology and service provision to the online sports trading market. The company, which provides data analytics, programming, back office and technical support as well as 24-7 monitoring for online clients, has grown exponentially in recent years to meet market demand and has embedded its services, provided from its Cork Headquarters.
“Xanadu is a great example of an Irish company that has grown its business to become an international market leader. I am delighted to welcome the creation of 120 new jobs at the company in its Cork HQ. These highly skilled jobs will provide great opportunities for ICT graduates and tech sector workers,” said An Taoiseach.
“The Government’s plan is all about securing economic recovery and successful Irish companies like Xanadu expanding to create new jobs are making a significant contribution to that aim,” he added.
Speaking at the jobs announcement on behalf of Xanadu, CEO, Mark Brosnan, said: “To meet the growing demand for our services, we have had to scale up our teams significantly. Our continued expansion is a reflection of our absolute focus, international customer wins, invaluable client feedback and increasing market demand.”
The recruitment drive has already commenced at Xanadu and over 60 positions will be filled in the coming 3 months in the areas of programming, data analytics and marketing. Further positions will be open in early 2015.
