Liam O’Connor, managing director, Air Creative Ireland
Business & Finance highlights some of the top movers and shakers in Ireland.
What is it?
Air Creative Ireland distribute a Swiss-made air refinement system in Ireland. It provides scent marketing solutions to businesses. Scent affects people, is memorable, creates associations and can be used to create a specific atmosphere or mood in a building, or connect with customers on an emotional level. Clients range from gyms and fish shops where odour control is necessary, to hospitals, nursing homes and hotels where aroma can positively affect people’s state of mind and wellbeing.
Who’s behind it?
Liam O’Connor is the MD of Air Creative Ireland. Having been involved in store design for 30 years, he felt that creating a particular ambience in a business through the power of aroma is the ‘missing link’ in good building design.
He previously spent 18 years with Musgrave Retail Partners, most recently as a senior project manager in the Development Department, and has vast experience in working with retail design projects.
How is it funded?
Air Creative’s initial investment comes from own resources. In 2015 Air Creative saw a 69% increase in unit installations and aims to exceed that figure for 2016.
Future plans?
Air Creative’s aims are to increase awareness of scent marketing and establish the brand as the market leader in Ireland.
