In our Ones to Watch section, we highlight some of the top up and coming businesses in Ireland. This week we feature Voxxify, an IT Experience Management tool.
What is it?
Voxxify is an I.T. Experience Management (ITXM) tool for the Enterprise. It rapidly gathers, segments and prioritises employee feedback into rich insights for I.T. leaders so they can make better decisions about the technology their people use at work. It’s like a net promoter score (NPS) for I.T., but with serious intelligence built in.
Who’s behind it?
CEO Steve Fleming founded the company in 2018 in response to a growing challenge faced by enterprise I.T. departments: understanding and responding to the needs of enterprise knowledge workers. Global workforce productivity has plateaued and is starting to decline after decades of growth. Technology, once an enabler for productivity, is now a blocker as it becomes more embedded in the workplace. Historically, enterprises threw money at the problem, training employees to become more I.T. literate, and providing support as a failsafe. But I.T. departments and technology companies are now shifting their focus towards making the technology more people-literate, reducing the learning curve, and enabling the modern digital workplace. It saves money, and it makes people happier at work.
How is it funded?
Voxxify was initially bootstrapped from the founder’s own funds, with additional support from Enterprise Ireland’s New Frontiers programme and the Local Enterprise Office in Cork City. We have recently taken investment from the NDRC in Dublin, to support us as we acquire enterprise customers and grow our team. I.T. Experience Management is an emerging software category on the borders of EXtech and infotech, and we expect that category to grow significantly over the next 5 to 10 years. With that in mind we will aim to match our growth to growing market demand through a combination of private & public investment.
Future plans
The explosion in data in recent years is not without its challenges, in particular, how to put that data into a human or business context. As this data continues to grow we see opportunities to make sense of that data in a variety of domains extending beyond I.T., so that we can help people use data to make better decisions for their employees, businesses, and industries. Watch this space closely.
