The Dublin-based firm Connector is pushing the boundaries of what it means to market and communicate a brand to a wider audience.

Connector, the multi-award-winning open innovation studio, offers global brands and services in business strategy design, prototype development and engagement with other influencers, all producing experiences you will find in the live business world.

The company has evolved from standard marketing and communications to a more tech-focused, innovation-style of promotion. This is extremely important as the marketing and communications styles of old are being left behind and less seamless.

Connector steps in to build solutions that revolve around experience and engagement. This can be seen through their Huawei projects in Ireland and the UK.

As well as this, Connector brings together all stakeholders through a series of events, training, hackathons and curated content. This takes in 70,000 people from different backgrounds, in diverse roles, across many different businesses.

The company’s notable additions in clients include Huawei UK, Volkswagen, BWG Foodservice, Littlewoods and SEAI. Revenues are coming in from partners in Dubai, Brazil, Israel, Australia, India, Belgium, Hong Kong and more, showing a vast global demand for the Connector service.

Connector does this through the use of the proprietary Connector Matrix Model:

  1. Collaborate: Work closely with clients and draw from many innovation methodologies to generate new ideas. These are design thinking, trends and future planning.
  2. Create: Bring ideas to life by going through the major processes of research, design, prototype, validation and iteration.
  3. Connect: The Connector Network enables them to use their bank of partners, innovators, influencers and creators to gain the best ideas possible.

Innovation & Strategy Director, Ivan Adriel, said of Connector’s processes: “Our innovative way of working is really unique; we invite our clients to team up with us and we work with them to develop a plan which meets their objectives. Together, we draw from many innovation methodologies – design thinking, trend forecasts, strategic planning and foresight, to uncover possibilities and generate ideas which delight the end user and deliver on business goals.”

In April of this year, Connector won the ‘Best Use of Digital and Social Media’ at the APMC Marketing Awards and was also a finalist in the ‘Best Event Innovation’ and ‘Best Event Technology Award’ categories at the Event Industry Awards and the IMC European Marketing Awards.

Tapping into other world projects, Connector launched the ‘The Universe Infographic’, which highlights creative communities in Ireland; launched Ireland’s first messaging bot and marketing innovation expert, Ava; and constructed the #LoveWins Google Chrome extension, a device to filter homophobic content and replace it with more positive words and adjectives that was presented in 18 countries.

CEO of Connector Conor Lynch said: “We are delighted to expand our work with companies and people who, like us, are innovators. We all want to be first. We believe that innovation shouldn’t be the exception and we want to work with partners who are ready to explore a universe of possibilities.”

Connector is a partner for the Business & Finance CMO 100 event and listing, which honours the top senior marketing executives working in Ireland today. The event and panel discussion takes place in Dublin on Thursday 16th November, 2017. For information or guest list, please contact Business & Finance
