Stephen McCarthy, Head of Transition Management
Emovis

Mobility solutions provider Emovis has announced the appointment of Stephen McCarthy as its new Head of Transition Management for Ireland. He will report to Emovis Ireland’s CEO Francoise Riou.

Prior to joining Emovis, Mr McCarthy worked for Vodafone for 16 years, and held the positions of Head of Quality & Performance Improvement and Change and Transformation Programme Manager for the multinational company. He also previously held a position as IT Solutions Architect & Consultant for both Vertel and Astracon, and worked across their offices in Dublin, New Jersey and Chicago.

Enet

Enet, Ireland’s largest wholesale, open-access network operator, has announced the appointment of Jon Florsheim as its new non-executive Chairman. Mr Florsheim had held the role in an interim capacity following the acquisition of the remaining minority stake in Enet by the Irish Infrastructure Fund (IIF), a fund managed by AMP Capital and Irish Life Investment Managers, last December.

Mr. Florsheim has over 27 years’ experience in telecoms and media. Most recently he served as Chief Commercial Officer of eir. Previously he was Chief Executive Officer of European pay TV operator M7. Prior to M7, he spent 13 years at British Sky Broadcasting where he was Chief Marketing Officer and the Managing Director of the Customer Group (Consumer and B2B Businesses). Mr. Florsheim currently serves as Chairman of GoMedia, Europe’s leading on-board infotainment provider and is a Non-Executive Director of XLN Telecom, a UK B2B telecoms provider. He is also a Senior Advisor to AMP Capital, focusing on communications infrastructure.

In other board appointments, Enet Group CEO Peter McCarthy has been appointed to the board, while Alan Lowe has been confirmed as a non-executive director. Mr Lowe is CFO for Angel Trains, one of the UK’s leading train leasing specialists.
