The launch of the first-ever Ireland INC Index will be formally announced at the New York Stock Exchange’s Ireland Day, next Tuesday, 13 March.
Now in its eighth year, Ireland Day will bring the best C-Suite leaders together to discuss leadership and economic engagement between Ireland and the US. This will take place at the Ireland Day Breakfast at the New York Stock Exchange, an unrivalled platform for business discussion.
The 2018 Leadership Breakfast and panel discussion will focus on the theme ‘Ireland INC: The Footprint and Future of Investment in the United States’. It will also look to map creative strategies for participating attendees and build on business relationships.
At this year’s event, Ireland INC will formally announce the launch the first Ireland INC Index, a listing of the top Irish companies (from the North and Republic) investing in the US. The first of its kind, this will highlight the top 50 companies from the island of Ireland in the US by investment, employment and geographic span.
This index will be distributed globally to indexed companies and to US corporations investing in America.
Over 700 US companies invest $200 billion in Ireland through direct employment. Irish companies employ more than 125,000 people in North America as a whole. This link between Ireland and the US is only getting stronger.
Previous attendees and honourees at Ireland Day include former Taoiseach Enda Kenny TD, Senator George Mitchell, Wilbur Ross, former Mayor of New York Michael Bloomberg and Liam Neeson, to name but a few.
