This week sees new and notable appointments at Virgin Media Television, Cognate Health, Indeed and Bank of Ireland Business Banking


Áine Ní Chaoindealbháin, Deputy Managing Director,
Virgin Media Television

Virgin Media has named Áine Ní Chaoindealbháin as the company’s Deputy Managing Director of Virgin Media Television. She is currently Director of Operations at Virgin Media Television. Ms. Ní Chaoindealbháin takes on the role which has been established for the first time as a new executive function in the business.

Making the announcement, Paul Farrell, Managing Director of Virgin Media Television said, “I am thrilled Áine is taking on this exciting new role. With her huge and varied experience, a proven track record within our business and industry, today’s announcement is a natural next step.”

Ní Chaoindealbháin said:

Ní Chaoindealbháin is currently Director of Operations at Virgin Media Television, Ireland’s number one commercial public service broadcaster offering three free-to-air channels: Virgin Media One, Virgin Media Two, Virgin Media Three and the Virgin Media Player.  Áine is responsible for Virgin Media Television’s technical and operational activities. During her twenty five year career she has held senior management roles across a range of broadcasters. Prior to joining Virgin Media in 2017 she held senior roles in UTV Ireland, Setanta Sports and Sky Ireland, with previous experience in the independent sector and RTÉ. Áine is passionate about content creation and innovation in the broadcasting sector.

Cognate Health, the leading nationwide occupational health provider, has announced the appointment of Ciara Buckley as Sales and Marketing Manager in response to the company’s rapid growth. With extensive sales and marketing experience, Ciara will be responsible for developing and executing marketing strategies and strengthening Cognate Heath’s corporate customer base in the rapidly growing occupational health market.

Previous to joining Cognate Health, Ciara was employed at the Doyle Collection as Director of Global Sales and Marketing. Pivoting from hospitality into health, she joins the team with experience for promoting customer centric services that are based on strong, long-term partnerships with clients.

Jessica Jensen, Chief Marketing Officer,

Indeed, the job site, has announced that Jessica Jensen will join the company as Chief Marketing Officer. Jensen will join Indeed’s senior leadership team and report to CEO Chris Hyams.  As CMO, Jensen will lead the company’s global marketing programs as Indeed continues in its mission to help people get jobs.

“Jessica brings incredible experience and new perspective to Indeed, and at the same time has a huge respect for everything we have built,” said Hyams. “Our mission of helping people get jobs is central to everything we do. Jensen will oversee a marketing function that includes brand, performance marketing, regional and field marketing, and communications.

Prior to that, Jensen spent five years at Facebook, serving as Head of Products, Platforms & Insights for Business Marketing. There she led global positioning, marketing strategy and communications of Facebook’s family of business offerings, including Instagram, Messenger, WhatsApp and more.

Jensen holds an MBA from INSEAD, a Masters of International Relations from UCSD, and a B.A. from Amherst College. She is a passionate proponent of strong women’s voices and mentoring future female business leaders.

Bank of Ireland has appointed Conor Magee as Head of Manufacturing on its Business Banking team. Conor joins Bank of Ireland from Cargotec, a global manufacturer of Industrial Equipment for Cargo handling and transport, where he worked in Ireland, China and Finland.

In his new role Conor will focus on supporting existing and potential Bank of Ireland manufacturing customers to scale and grow their businesses. He brings with him a strong track record of business plan delivery, scaling and turnaround and is an expert practitioner in Lean thinking, supply chain best practice and cost management in the manufacturing sector.

Bank of Ireland is committed to supporting a wide range of businesses within the Irish manufacturing sector, a sector that is crucially important to the wider national economy. Conor’s appointment demonstrates the Bank’s continued commitment to this important sector.
