Paul Rellis is leading Viatel Technology Group in its acquisition of MJ Flood Technology, the technology division of the Group. He is our Business Person of the Month April 2024, in association with KPMG Ireland.
Viatel, led by Paul Rellis, has closed a deal ensuring the acquisition of MJ Flood Techonology.
The deal will consolidate the two tech solution providers and will boost Viatel’s cybersecurity offering. The deal is expected to be complete by mid 2024. MJ Flood Technology was founded in 1998. The MJ Flood Group and its other divisions will remain under current ownership.
Rellis has been at the helm of Viatel through a considerable growth period with diversified solutions, a strong customer ethic and, not least, multiple acquisitions which, including the most recent MJ Flood Technology acquisition, amount to nine since 2020.
Rellis has amassed over twenty years’ experience in the tech industry. Paul Rellis joined Viatel Technology Group as CEO is 2018 and, to date, has amassed over twenty years’ experience in global tech. Prior to taking on the role of CEO at Viatel, he worked as COO for Microsoft Western Europe. He was also former CEO for Microsoft Ireland, where he led the company through its critical transition from a traditional software vendor into a cloud-based entity, overseeing the establishment of some of its major data centres in Dublin.
