Peter Jackson is CEO of Paddy Power owner Flutter, a company now thriving on Wall Street. He is our Business Person of the Month December 2024, in association with KPMG.
Peter Jackson
Peter Jackson has been Group CEO of Flutter Entertainment since January 2018. He joined the company as Non-Executive Director in 2013, prior to its rebrand.
Boasting an impressive CV, he has held senior positions in various companies, including Lloyd’s Banking Group, Travalex, Banco Santander, Worldpay and Deliveroo.
Revenues
Flutter announced in November that the company has experienced a 27 per cent spike in revenue in the third quarter of 2024. Its losses have shrunk by 56 per cent also, from $262 million (€246 billion) to $114 million (€107 million), in the three months ending September 2024.
The Dublin-based conglomerate, which owns brands Paddy Power and Betfair, debuted the company’s New York Stock Exchange-listed shares in 2024. It announced in November 2023 that it intended to register with the Securities and and Exchange Commission in the US.
The group had been planning a US listing since 2023 after a period of business growth, in part due to the lifting of a sports betting ban in the country in 2018.
Analysts now believe that Flutter has the potential for continued growth in the coming years, as it continues to experience rising revenues in an American sports betting explosion.
Flutter informed investors they can expect a portion of its $5 billion share buyback programme, worth $350 million, to start this week.
The Group is expected to deliver sales growth of 22 per cent when it reports its full-year 2024 results next March.
