John Goulding
John Goulding is co-founder and CEO of Workvivo. He previously worked as the Chief Operations Officer at Cork-based firm CoreHR. He subsequently became CEO of the company before setting up Workvivo in 2017. Goulding began his career at EMC Corporation, where he became the Senior Director of Global Support, having started there in 1995.
Workvivo
In 2025, the company recorded a pre-tax profit of €20.7 million, a substantial €40 million improvement from the €19.3 million pre-tax loss experienced in 2023.
Workvivo saw a significant increase in revenue, growing by 174% to €69.39 million in 2024, up from €25.3 million in the preceding 13-month period. This growth followed the communication software company Zoom’s acquisition of Workvivo in 2023 for a deal valued at €250 million.
Workvivo is an employee engagement software, and its portfolio includes giants like Amazon, Bupa and Telus International. The Cork-based company are competing with tech giants like Facebook, Microsoft Viva, amongst other employee portal services.
