CIPS aims to support professionals in the Republic of Ireland in their learning, qualifications and knowledge

The Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (CIPS) aims to support professionals in the Republic of Ireland in their learning, qualifications and knowledge, with new member pathways to Chartered MCIPS and an introductory offer into CIPS membership.

CIPS is a not-for-profit body with over 70,000 members. It is a professional institute representing procurement and supply management, established to ensure that professionals in this field have the skills and capability to deliver accepted procurement practice for their organisations.

CIPS has a study centre in the Republic of Ireland, accredits a number of specialist degrees and has an active and growing procurement community and dedicated volunteer branch working to support Irish professionals.

Following the dissolution of the Irish Institute of Purchasing and Materials Management (IIPMM) last year, CIPS committed to supporting the profession in the Republic of Ireland. The group is now providing a number of pathways and exclusive membership opportunities for former IIPMM members and other supply chain professionals. In this way helping professionals continue to develop their knowledge, learning and careers.

Ana Barco, Group Director of CIPS responsible for membership, said: “We’re committed to supporting the profession in Ireland, and helping professionals develop and progress their careers. I look forward to welcoming new and returning members in the Republic of Ireland and look forward to growing our vibrant community.

“Our members have access to peer-to-peer knowledge, events and learning activities through branches and online communities to tackle the challenges of an increasingly complex world and the management of complicated supply chains. We have a number of membership pathways including experience-based routes to gaining Chartered MCIPS.”
