Kerry Group is a leading food and drinks manufacturing and distribution company that provides nutritional and functional solutions to the food, beverage and pharmaceutical industries. Kerry Group is our Company of the Month for November 2023, in association with KPMG.

Kerry Group is a leading agrifood and drink company which was founded in 1972 and is headquartered in Tralee, County Kerry, Ireland. With over 23,000 employees worldwide, the company combines a Taste & Nutrition function with a Consumer Foods business. Taste & Nutrition manufactures and distributes a number of solutions and functional ingredients for the global food and beverage industry. The Consumer Foods segment manufactures and supplies food products for the Irish, UK and international markets. These products include a number of brands: LowLow, Cheestrings, Dairygold, Charleville, Denny, Richmond, Wall’s and Mattesons. They also supply ingredients to McDonalds.

Edmond Scanlon, CEO, Kerry Group, is the son of a Kerry dairy farmer. He joined Kerry Group’s graduate programme in 1996 as a University College Cork graduate. He spoke recently to the Business Post about his optimism for the future of the company, saying: ‘The Kerry today is very different to five years ago. And in five years, it will be different again.’ The company began as a small dairy company and has grown, in the space of 50 years, to a global multinational.
