Amanda Ward, Partner and Co-Head of Consulting at Grant Thornton, said: “We are delighted to extend our partnership with the Business and Finance ESG Awards, a celebration of excellence in sustainable business practices across Ireland. At Grant Thornton, sustainability is not only a fundamental pillar of our business strategy, but also a driving force in our work with clients across diverse industries, guiding them to achieve their sustainability objectives.
“Now, more than ever, it is essential for businesses to prioritise sustainability, regardless of where they are on their journey. We remain steadfast in our commitment to catalysing change, empowering businesses to evolve and thrive as they embrace the transition to a more sustainable future.”
Sustainability remains the defining challenge of our time. The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) projects that Ireland will achieve a 29% reduction in greenhouse gas emissions by 2030—far below the national target of 51%. This underscores the critical role every sector must play in adopting sustainable solutions.
The ESG Awards not only celebrate success but also provide a platform for companies to benchmark their efforts against industry-leading initiatives, fostering transparency and encouraging accountability.
Entries for the ESG Awards 2025 open today, November 27th, and are complimentary for all participants. Organisations are invited to submit their initiatives through https://businessandfinanceesgawards.com/ by January 24th, 2025.
