This week sees new and notable appointments at KPMG, Pinergy, Logicalis UK&I, Red Flag Global, Core VC, Insight Private Clients, Forvis Mazars, and A&L Goodbody.

Anna Scally, Global Head of Technology, Media, and Telecommunications (TMT)
KPMG

KPMG has announced the appointment of Anna Scally as its new Global Head of TMT.

With over 20 years of experience, Anna Scally brings senior leadership skills. Notably, she has advised many of the world’s leading technology and media companies on international tax.

In her new role, Scally will be responsible for delivering innovative solutions for KPMG’s clients and will lead the company’s global TMT practice.


Nichola Cooke and Annmarie Hennessy, Senior Energy Consultants
Pinergy

Nichola Cooke and Annemarie Hennessy were appointed as Senior Energy Consultants at Pinergy earlier this week.

Cooke brings a wealth of experience in energy supply, renewables, and account management. In her new role, she will focus on expanding Pinergy’s market share within the industrial and commercial sectors by championing innovative energy solutions and optimising the integration of Pinergy’s smart meter products.

She will consult with businesses on advanced renewable energy strategies, including commercial solar, to empower them with the insights and expertise needed to contribute significantly to Ireland’s energy transition.

Before joining Pinergy, she held key roles, including Key Account Manager at Vamat Ireland and SKE Engineering. With over 18 years’ experience working as a Key Account Manager, Large Industrial at Energia and as a Customer Relationship Manager at Electric Ireland, Nichola Cooke developed deep client relationships and delivered tailored energy solutions for major industrial customers.

Originally from Wexford, Annmarie held several roles, including Key Account Manager at Energia, before joining Pinergy.

In her new role, Annmarie will focus on securing new business contracts, particularly for large energy users such as those in manufacturing and technology sectors. She will provide innovative, energy-efficient solutions tailored to each commercial client’s unique needs, consulting with them to pinpoint cost-saving opportunities, ensure compliance with evolving sustainability regulations, and ultimately facilitate their strategic transition to cleaner energy sources.

Conor Kilduff, Client Director
Logicalis UK&I

Logicalis UK&I announced the appointment of Conor Kilduff as Client Director for the Public Sector.

In his new role, Kilduff will be responsible for driving the growth of the company’s public sector business in Ireland. He will oversee a portfolio of existing public sector accounts while enhancing Logicalis UK&I’s go-to-market solutions and vendor strategies for the market.

With over 15 years of experience, Conor Kilduff brings experience working with public sector customers on digital transformation and ICT projects.

Before joining Logicalis UK&I, Conor spent almost 10 years with HPE Ireland in various roles. He joined HPE in 2014 as a Technology Services and Hybrid Cloud Sales Specialist, but more recently held the role of Enterprise Account Lead for Public Sector, where he had full responsibility for some of HPE’s largest and long-standing public-sector customers. Conor also spent two years with Ward Solutions as an Enterprise Account Manager in the cybersecurity industry, as well as five years at Dell as a Channel Account Manager, where he looked after large UK resellers and systems integrators.

Denis Naughten, Senior Advisor
Red Flag Global

Former Minister Denis Naughten has been appointed as Red Flag Global’s Senior Advisor.

During his career, Naughten held positions including Minister for Communications, Climate Action and Environment, chair of the global Inter-Parliamentary Union Working Group on Science & Technology, and chair of Oireachtas Committees, including Health. He announced his decision to leave frontline politics before the general election last year.

Core VC

Core VC has announced the appointment of Michael J. Hsu as its new Venture Partner.

Former Acting Comptroller of the Currency, Hsu bring over 20 years of experience in leadership across the OCC, Federal Reserve, U.S. Treasury, and IMF, where he focused on financial stability, AI risk, and consumer protection.

Most recently, as Acting Comptroller of the Currency, he oversaw the safety, soundness, and fairness of the U.S. banking system, giving him a unique institutional perspective on both the promise and pitfalls of financial innovation. He also serves on the board of the Financial Health Network, helping drive equitable solutions for financial health among Americans.


Alan Kelleher, Senior Consultant
Insight Private Clients

Insight Private Clients has recently announced the appointment of Alan Kelleher as Senior Consultant.

Kelleher has 20 years of experience in financial services, having worked across both advisory and life company environments. Before joining Insight Private Clients, he was working as a Corporate Account Manager, where he supported a broad portfolio of clients in delivering client-specific financial and retirement solutions.

He holds extensive professional qualifications, including QFA, RPA, SIA, and CFP, and he also possesses an MSc in Financial Services. His commitment to the sector is further evidenced by his status as an associate of the Irish Institute of Pensions Management and a Qualified Pension Trustee, reflecting his deep expertise in pension governance and long-term financial planning.

Commenting on Kelleher’s appointment, Insight Private Clients Managing Director Norman Barry said, “With Alan’s extensive experience, strong technical knowledge, and client-focused approach, his appointment is a further step in Insight’s continued expansion in providing clients with access to tailored, experienced and qualified advice of the highest calibre. Forvis Mazars has welcomed five new partners to its leadership team.

Andrew Brennan, Audit Partner, Financial Services Banking & Asset Management

Brennan has been with the Forvis Mazars firm for over 12 years and has extensive experience supporting both domestic and international clients in the asset management sector. Andrew works with a broad range of investment funds, including UCITS and Alternative Investment Funds (AIFs), as well as management companies and fund service providers.

Aisling Callanan, Audit Partner

Callanan joined Forvis Mazars in 2017 and is based in the Galway office. She supports privately owned businesses and subsidiaries of multinational groups across the West, across sectors such as manufacturing, retail, construction, med tech and not-for-profit. Aisling is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland and former Chair of the Western Society of Chartered Accountants.

Ciara Finnegan, Audit Partner, Public Interest Entities

Finnegan joined the firm in 2012 and works with a wide range of multinational and progressive Irish-owned clients across the manufacturing, retail, distribution and technology sectors. She has extensive experience auditing financial statements under FRS 102, FRS 101 and IFRS, and is a fellow of Chartered Accountants Ireland.

Gemma Rocliffe, Audit Partner, Financial Services Banking & Asset Management 

Rocliffe specialises in providing audit and advisory services to structured finance vehicles and investment firms. With a strong focus on audit quality and technical excellence, Rocliffe also delivers in-house technical training and advises clients on complex audit and accounting matters.

Robert Burke, Consulting Partner, Internal Audit

Burke is part of Forvis Mazar’s risk consulting team, providing governance, risk advisory and internal audit services as well as grant audit services, advising both grant-awarding bodies and recipients in the public and private sectors. He is a Fellow Chartered Accountant (FCA) and holds a Diploma in Risk Management, Internal Audit and Compliance.

A&L Goodbody has announced the appointments of eleven new partners across Dublin and Belfast sites.

Aisling O’Donoghue, Senior Associate, Energy, Infrastructure and Natural Resources

Aisling O’Donoghue is a Senior Associate in A&L Goodbody’s Energy, Infrastructure and Natural Resources group. She advises sponsors, corporates, project developers, financial institutions, and service providers in the energy and infrastructure sector.

Her areas of specialism include acquisition/project financing, construction and equipment procurement, and power sales and offtake contracts. She works with clients in project development, project financing and M&A processes, and also regularly advises companies on energy regulatory matters.

Brendan Curran, Senior Associate, Environmental & Planning

Brendan Curran is a senior associate in A&L Goodbody’s Litigation department, specialising in Environmental & Planning. He has advised a wide range of project promoters on consenting, CPO and litigation strategy, from consent stage to financing through to development.

His litigation experience allows him to put environmental, planning and health and safety risks in context and develop solutions that satisfy the needs of promoters and investors. He has also advised stakeholders on submissions in relation to legislation that affects them.

Eoghan Browne, Senior Associate, Corporate and M&A

Eoghan Browne is a senior associate in A&L Goodbody’s Corporate department and part of the Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) group. Since joining the firm in 2013, Eoghan has gained experience in a wide range of commercial matters and has advised both domestic and international clients on all areas of corporate law.

Hannah Shaw, Senior Associate, Disputes & Investigations

Hannah Shaw is a senior associate in A&L Goodbody’s Disputes & Investigations group. Hannah is an experienced commercial litigator specialising in large-scale commercial disputes in particularly in the areas of injunctions, public procurement, construction, property (with a focus on landlord and tenant disputes), financial services, commercial contracts, and competition.

She represents clients not only in Court work but also has experience in alternative dispute resolution, including negotiation and mediation.

Jennie Quirke, Senior Associate, Corporate and M&A

Jennie Quirke is a senior associate in A&L Goodbody’s Corporate Transactions and M&A group with experience across a range of aspects of corporate and commercial law, including mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, corporate restructurings, equity capital markets and corporate finance.

She also advises a range of international and indigenous companies on commercial, contractual and corporate governance and compliance matters.

Kate Harnett, Of Counsel, White Collar Crime/Disputes & Investigations

Kate Harnett is Of Counsel in A&L Goodbody’s Disputes & Investigations group, where she specialises in white collar crime. Kate has particular expertise in international sanctions and export controls. Her practice also consists of a wide range of corporate crime matters such as corruption and anti-bribery, corporate fraud and anti-money laundering. Kate advises regularly on crisis management and regulatory investigations.

Louise Hogan, Senior Associate, Financial Regulation

Louise Hogan is a senior associate in A&L Goodbody’s Financial Regulation group. Louise has experience advising a wide variety of banks, payment institutions, electronic money institutions, asset managers, brokers and intermediaries on regulatory and compliance issues.

Her particular areas of expertise include advice on conduct of business and prudential requirements, authorisation and passporting requirements, acquisitions and disposals, corporate governance, fitness and probity and AML/CFT.

Mairéad O’Brien, Senior Associate, Disputes & Investigations

Mairéad O’Brien is a senior associate in A&L Goodbody’s Disputes & Investigations group, where she advises market-leading corporates and financial institutions on complex commercial disputes and regulatory investigations.

Her experience spans across large-scale commercial and multiparty litigation, crisis litigation, product liability claims, contentious regulatory investigations/enquiries, contractual disputes and mediation.

Stephen Ahern, Senior Associate, Restructuring & Insolvency

Stephen Ahern is a senior associate in A&L Goodbody’s Restructuring & Insolvency group. Stephen is experienced in all aspects of business restructuring and insolvency and focuses on complex, cross-border restructurings.

He has expertise in the design and implementation of complex schemes of arrangement, cross-border restructurings and formal insolvency procedures.

Stephen Egan, Senior Associate, Tax

Stephen Egan is a senior associate in A&L Goodbody’s Tax Department. He advises on all aspects of Irish taxation law.

He has worked in A&L Goodbody since 2013. Egan has extensive experience advising on the tax aspects of public and private M&A transactions, the acquisition of renewable energy offerings, international tax changes, restructuring work for multinationals, IP tax structuring, tax planning for FDI start-ups in Ireland and the taxation of Irish investment undertakings and property holding structures.

Keith Dunn, Senior Associate, Commercial & Technology

Keith Dunn is a Senior Associate in A&L Goodbody’s Commercial & Technology department in Belfast. He advises clients on a broad range of contractual matters with a particular focus on data protection, intellectual property and cyber security.

Dunn has obtained a Master’s degree in International Commercial Law and is qualified to practise in Northern Ireland and England, and Wales. In relation to data protection, he has obtained the Practitioner Certificate in Data Protection (PC.dp.) and the Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP/E) qualification.
