Erin Barrett & James Lawless, Property Solicitors
Lavelle Partners
Lavelle Partners has announced the appointment of two newly qualified solicitors.
Erin Barrett joins the company as a Property Solicitor after following the company’s own trainee programme. In her new role, Barrett will be responsible for advising on the acquisition, sale, and leasing of both commercial and residential property. She has experience in Probate and Estate Planning, including drafting wills and administering estates.
Additionally, James Lawless joins the team as a Property Solicitor. He will advise on secured lending transactions. Lawless is experienced in conveyancing matters, including commercial lease agreements and the acquisition, disposal and leasing of commercial and residential property.
Following the appointments, Michael Lavelle, Managing Partner, said, “Erin and James demonstrated determination and focus throughout our training programme and have reached an important milestone in their careers. They will continue to play a key role in providing expert guidance to our Property clients, and their progression reflects our ongoing commitment to nurturing talent within the firm.”
Stephen Byrne, Chief Operating Officer
ZeroOne
Stephen Byrne has been appointed as ZeroOne’s new Chief Operating Officer (COO). Byrne joins the firm with over 20 years of experience. Previously, he has worked with hyperscalers, co-location providers, and general contractors.
Commenting on his appointment, Byrne said, “ZeroOne’s strategic focus on the data centre sector, combined with its commitment to engineering excellence, presents a unique opportunity to help clients deliver technically superior, resilient, future-ready infrastructure across EMEA.”

Rowan
Rowan has announced a series of senior and graduate appointments.
Róisín O’Brien, Environmental Intern
In her new position, O’Brien will be gaining experience across a broad range of environmental sectors within the business. Additionally, she is studying a degree in Climate and Environmental Sustainability at DCU.
Sam Tengwa, Graduate Sustainability Consultant
As part of the Rowan UCD Graduate Development Programme, Tengwa will join the firm with over 10 years of experience. Her skills span water management and the circular economy, with key expertise in mine water management, water conservation, energy and decarbonisation assessments across scopes 1, 2, and 3, product life cycle assessments (LCA), process engineering, and circular economy strategies.
Paola Rodolfi, Senior EIA Consultant
Bringing more than 12 years of experience, Rodolfi joins Rowan as a Senior EIA Consultant. Her experience spans environmental consultancy. She has specific expertise in Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA), Appropriate Assessment (AA) screening, and preparing a wide range of environmental reports. Paola Rodolfi is also experienced in climate risk and carbon assessments. In addition, she has expertise in GIS analysis for environmental and climate change projects.
Michelle O’Donnell, Environmental & Sustainability Director
O’Donnell brings more than 15 years of experience to her new role as Environmental & Sustainability Director. Her experience spans scientific, government, regulatory, education and professional services sectors, with significant experience as an environmental consultant and director in both Australia and Ireland.

James Mailley, Head of Sales & Marketing
ISME Ireland
ISME Ireland has announced the appointment of James Mailley as its new Head of Sales & Marketing, effective 5 January. Mailley joins the company with over 20 years of experience. Before his current role, he held several senior commercial and marketing positions.
In his new role, James Mailley will lead the Sales and Marketing teams. He will be responsible for helping SMEs across Ireland make full use of ISME’s support services, including upskilling and learning resources, as well as advocacy and representation to the Government.
Commenting on his appointment, James Mailley said, “I’m really excited to be joining ISME and to work with SMEs across the country at such a pivotal time. I’m looking forward to ensuring members fully benefit from the organisation’s support, services and learning resources.”
Claire Tolan, Chair of Drinks
Irish Distillers
Irish Distillers has announced the election of Claire Tolan as Chair of Drinks for a two-year term. She takes over from Pat Rigney.
Tolan, already with the company, serves as Managing Director of Ireland at Irish Distillers. She oversees the sales, marketing, and distribution of the company’s portfolio of premium spirits across the country.
Speaking on her appointment, she said, “I am delighted and honoured to be stepping into the role as Chair of Drinks Ireland and would firstly like to thank Pat Rigney for the work he has done throughout his term. The last two years have been extremely challenging for the drinks sector, in particular in relation to the introduction of tariffs and the increasing regulatory burden on drinks manufacturers and suppliers.”
Damien McCann, Managing Director
Viatel Communications Services
Viatel Technology Group has announced the appointment of Damien McCann as Viatel Communications Services’ Managing Director (MD).
McCann joins with 20 years of experience at the company, having most recently held the position of Chief Commercial Officer.

Andrew Johnston, Managing Director
Leaf IT
Leaf IT has announced the appointment of Andrew Johnston as its new Managing Director (MD). Johnston’s experience in finance and leadership is brought by a 10-year tenure at Deloitte.
In his new role, Johnston will work in collaboration with Steven Goldblatt, the firm’s Executive Chairman.
Commenting on his appointment, Johnston said, “My role is to scale the business without losing what has made Leaf trusted in the first place. Eoin Gilhooly has been appointed as a Partner in the Technology & Transformation practice at Deloitte Ireland. In his new role, Gilhooly will be responsible for enhancing Deloitte’s capacity to support clients during critical moments, where delays or disruptions could have significant consequences.
Commenting on his appointment, Gilhooly said, “Deloitte brings the scale, multi-disciplinary depth and delivery focus to meet those expectations. Mary-Ellen Snook, Client Director
Saros Consulting
Saros Consulting has announced the appointment of Mary-Ellen Snook as Client Director. In her new role, Snook will be responsible for ensuring long-term partnership success and identifying opportunities to expand Saros Consulting’s services. She will also oversee day-to-day delivery, manage consultant performance, implement governance frameworks, and drive account growth initiatives.
Before becoming Client Director, she held roles as Account Manager and Programme Manager at Saros. She also brings over two decades of experience in the aviation industry, having held various positions at Aer Lingus, including Transition Programme Manager and End User Computing Programme Manager.
