Last call for submissions to Business & Finance Awards in association with KPMG where Golden Globe winner Gabriel Byrne will accept TK Whitaker Award

The Business & Finance Awards is making a last call for submissions for the prestigious awards ceremony that recognises the achievements of leading Irish leaders.


Candidates are invited to submit their nominations for the 2023 Business & Finance Awards, in association with KPMG HERE

The 49th iteration of the event will take place on Friday, December 8th 2023 at the Convention Centre Dublin with a gala ceremony attended by C-level Executives and their teams.

Business & Finance Awards

Since first launching in 1974, the Business & Finance Awards have been the benchmark for leading companies in Ireland, celebrating excellence in innovation, growth, and scale of individual business leaders and their teams.

The call for nominations was marked by a special gathering at the Convention Centre, Dublin, featuring Séamus Hand, Managing Partner, KPMG Ireland; Danny McCoy, CEO, Ibec; Imelda Hurley, CEO, Coillte; Kevin Sherry, Executive Director, Enterprise Ireland, and Peter Power, Executive Director, Unicef Ireland. Also joining us at the Awards launch were event partners Diligent, SSE Airtricity and Aviva.

Finalists for the Business & Finance Awards are chosen by a judging panel made up of independent industry experts. Those eligible include external nominations as well as Business & Finance’s monthly winners of Company of the Month, Business Person of the Month and FDI of the Month.

In a change from previous years, both the Business Person of the Year and Business of the Year awards have changed their threshold to qualify companies with annual revenues of over €250 million.

Sutherland Leadership Award

One of the highlights of the awards ceremony is the Sutherland Leadership Award which was established in 2018 with the support of the Sutherland family.

It recognises outstanding international leaders who have embodied the values of one of Ireland’s and Europe’s finest leaders, Peter Sutherland. The 2022 Sutherland Leadership Award was accepted on behalf of the European Union by President Ursula von der Leyen.

At an event to launch the 2023 Business & Finance Awards, Seamus Hand, Managing Partner, KPMG Ireland, said: “We are really proud of our association with the Business & Finance awards which recognise truly amazing achievements in our business community. Throughout these tests, Ireland’s businesses have excelled; I’m certain our judging panel has a tough task ahead to single out its champions. We welcome nominations from today, and we look forward to seeing the community at the final event later this year.”
