William Fry announces Bryan Bourke as new managing partner

Leading law firm William Fry is pleased to announce the appointment of Bryan Bourke as the firm’s next managing partner.

Bourke, whose tenure as managing partner will officially begin on November 1st, is currently head of William Fry’s Corporate Department.  He succeeds Myra Garrett who has been managing partner for the past six years. Garrett will return to full-time practice in the firm’s Corporate Department.

Bourke joined William Fry in 1993 and has been a partner in the firm since 1999.  He has extensive experience in corporate transactional work, having advised on some of the largest public and private business mergers and acquisitions in Ireland in recent years.

Speaking of his appointment to the role of managing partner, Bourke said: “I am delighted to have been elected as managing partner of William Fry.  It is a privilege to have the opportunity to lead the firm, particularly at a time when the Irish economy is returning to growth. On behalf of the firm, I would like to thank Myra Garrett, who, in her role as managing partner over the last six years, has shown enormous dedication in driving the growth of the firm and its business.”
