In our Ones to Watch section, we highlight some of the top up and coming businesses in Ireland. This week we feature Gorey Property Lettings.

What is it?

Gorey Property Lettings is a letting and property management agency based in Gorey Co Wexford  covering property services to the South East such as Gorey, Ferns, Enniscorthy, Courtown, Arklow and Wicklow. It opened its doors in 2002 and has earned its success by providing clients with a hassle-free property management experience.

Who’s behind it?

Aine Kavanagh is the managing director of Gorey Property Lettings for the past 17 years. Aine began her studies of Human Resources in Dublin and lived and worked there for over 8 years. She decided she had a need to travel and headed to France to live and work for over 2 years. On her return she had a deep desire to become an entrepreneur.

Starting in her local town of Gorey she continued to grow her business year on year and is currently the leading letting agency in Gorey. Gorey Property Lettings has vastly expanded the locality they cover by increasing their staff members along the way.

How is it funded?

The business is mostly funded by revenue, however in keeping with all things to do with property and synergising GPL also creates funding from its own property investments.

Future plans?

Due to the increase in the number of properties we have to manage and in order to meet our projections for the next 5 years, we have recently invested in an even more high tech property management software system. This will allow us with ease to expand to a second office. The company has been approached to merge with not one, but two Wicklow based agents which is under consideration. In the meantime, the business will continue to be innovative, build client base and at the same time keep a very close eye on the market for the “gem investment properties”
