What is it?
Remote Signals offers the complete Internet of Things (IoT) solution, allowing sensors on assets to inform business decisions. Clients come from a range of sectors and verticals across Agritech, Cold Chain, and Industrial/Manufacturing Machine Monitoring.
The team designs and builds sensor systems that combine wireless sensors with LPWAN (Low Powered Wide Area Networks) and cloud-based analytics – all in an easy- to-use, software-centric solution. Remote Signals believes that by making sensors simple to deploy and their data easy to consume, customers will be able to deploy them in places they’ve never been used before.
Remote Signals have already launched TempReporter, a solution that monitors and reports storage temperatures in the food safety and healthcare sectors to ensure compliance with HACCP procedures.
In the Agritech space, Remote Signals have partnered with the Grasstec Group to bring smart technology to the farming sector.
Ultimately, Remote Signals understands that digitally transforming through IoT is not easy for most businesses. Time, Costs, access to the right talent and the lack of understanding around return on investment are all major barriers to kicking off an IoT initiative. With the platform Remote Signals has built, bringing connected hardware, software and services together, the mission is to make it easier for any business to connect every asset.
Who’s behind it?
The three Co-Founders in Remote Signals all came from spending more than a decade each with the global leaders in product solutions, Cork HQ’d PCH International. Co-Founders Joe Perrott, CEO, Tony Garvey, CTO & Dan Stapleton, COO have lead global teams across different disciplines, from Operations, Engineering, Finance and Logistics.
How is it funded?
Remote Signals has closed seed funding in 2018, and is also an Enterprise Ireland HPSU client.
Future plans?
In 2019, Remote Signals will continue to expand their Irish, UK & European client base. Working with clients who want to digitally transform their own business, or feel they can impact the sector that they are already specialists in, is how Remote Signals see the massive growth in IoT arriving in the future.
The biggest move in 2019 will be the introduction of Remote Signals to the US market as an IoT player. With initial partners in place, and new connectivity options coming online in 2019, it is expected that Remote Signals will look to raise a Series A round by mid-2019.
