The Business Show announces that 25% of all ticket sales for The Business Show Virtual Summit will be shared with charity partners Aware, Suicide or Survive (SOS) and Focus Ireland
The Business Show has today announced that 25% of all ticket sales for The Business Show Virtual Summit on 10th September will be shared with charity partners Aware, Suicide or Survive (SOS) and Focus Ireland. Each of the three charities listed tackles a specific social issue in Ireland.
Aware is a leading mental health organisation providing support, education and information services for those impacted by depression, bipolar disorder and other mood related conditions. Similarly, Suicide or Survive (SOS) deals with the issue of mental health.
According to the charity’s website: “The organisation is premised on the belief that there are gaps in existing services for those who have attempted or contemplated suicide.
“One of the key drivers behind the work of SOS is the desire to harness individuals’ own strengths and provide them with the tools to improve their own mental wellness. Underlying SOS’s vision is the idea that ‘behind every statistic on suicide and self-harm, there is a person,’ and that every person has the capability of living a full life regardless of the challenges they may face in their mental health.”
Focus Ireland, on the other hand, centres on the fundamental belief that homelessness is wrong, and is committed to challenging the causes, systemic failures, people’s perceptions and the ways in which it is tackled.
“Our areas of expertise lie in prevention and sustained exit. We work to stop people from entering into homelessness, and, for those who already are, we provide a holistic model of wrap-around supports to help maintain their new home.”
Focus Ireland have 86 services nationwide.
