By Business & Finance Accounting firm KPMG has announced 330 new jobs across a range of areas in a further vote of confidence that the economy is showing signs of recovery.
The firm is looking to fill roles in the areas of audit, tax and advisory and plans to make the appointments through 2014.
KPMG, the only one of the ‘Big Four’ accounting firms to operate as an integrated firm across the whole of Ireland – is looking to fill a range of 60 senior and 270 graduate trainee positions in Dublin, Belfast, Cork and Galway.
According to Shaun Murphy, managing partner at the firm: “Signs of recovery are good and strong client demand in many areas means that we are looking to fill roles in the audit, tax and advisory areas of our business.”
The 60 senior positions will be at manager and senior manager level across the firm.
KPMG is Ireland’s largest graduate recruiter and in addition to the management positions announced, the firm also plans to recruit 270 graduates this autumn – the largest graduate intake of any Irish business. Murphy says that this level of recruitment is a “vote of confidence in the calibre of Irish graduates and testament to the significant job opportunities for graduates in Ireland”.
Commenting on the reasons behind the recruitment drive, Murphy says: “Signs of domestic growth and Ireland’s continued reputation as the location of choice for foreign direct investment mean that the demand for our services is growing in a number of areas.”
