Ornua is our Company of the Month for April 2026, in association with KPMG. Its subsidiary company, Kerrygold, recorded its US sales passing the $1 billion mark this month.

Despite tariffs, Kerrygold has crossed the $1 billion threshold in US sales for the first time, as parent company Ornua reported group turnover of €3.5 billion in 2025.
The milestone was driven by a 1.8-point gain in household penetration, bringing more than 2.5 million new American customers to the brand. Double-digit growth in Latin America and Canada added further momentum for the company.
Ornua paid out more than €1.8 billion to its member co-operatives for premium Irish dairy in 2025. A further €74.3 million was distributed through its Ornua Value Payment scheme, in the form of cash bonuses and additional premiums.
Conor Galvin, CEO of Ornua, commented on the milestone, “We will continue to focus on world-class commercial execution, enabled by everyday operational excellence, to meet the needs of a growing number of consumers globally.”
The company reported facing difficult conditions in 2025, due to fluctuating supply levels and uncertainty around regulatory developments, such as “renewed tariff pressures in the US”, which presented a “challenging backdrop” for the company.
Global milk supply grew by 2.5% in 2025, driving higher output of cheese, butter and skim milk powder.
Recently, Ornua has announced a five-year strategic growth plan, Transforming for Growth. It aims to help the company navigate consumer expectations and technological development. Ornua’s brands are targeted to grow their value to €3 billion by 2030.
