Dublin Tech Summit announces latest round of speakers

Dublin Tech Summit 2023 boasted 8,000 attendees, with 70 nationalities represented from across the globe. DTS 2024 promises even more panels, talks and keynotes from a wide variety of speakers, start-ups, and tech experts.


Dublin Tech Summit has announced the next round of speakers to feature at DTS 2024.

The two day summit, taking place 29 and 30 May, 2024, will bring together global tech leaders, innovators and entrepreneurs, and is expected to attract over 8,000 attendees and hundreds of speakers from all over the world.

Dublin Tech Summit is a global tech festival that attracts thought leaders and innovators to the city for a two-day immersion in the tech scene. It was first held in 2017 and has since established itself as Europe’s fastest growing tech festival. Previous speakers at DTS include  Adam Cheyer, Patricia Scanlon, Christopher Wylie (Cambridge Analytica Whistleblower), Gary Viernerchuck (Founder & CEO, VaynerMedia), Casey Neistat, Werner Vogels (CTO Amazon), Chris Hadfield (Commander, International Space Station), Cassie Kozyrkov,(Chief Decision Scientist, Google), Douglas Terrier (CTO NASA), Jeff Burton (Founder, EA Sports), Bryan Che (Chief Strategy Officer, Huawei), Nikolay Storonsky (Founder & CEO, Revolut) and Martha Lane Fox (CBE).


Speakers

Kieran McCorry

Kieran McCorry is the National Technology Officer for Microsoft in Ireland and has worked in the technology industry for over 30 years. He is a frequent speaker at worldwide conferences, is the author of four books, has presented multiple papers and articles, and holds several patents. He has a variety of degrees and post-graduate qualifications in computer science, law, corporate governance, digital policy, innovation and enterprise development, and data protection law. He sits on several industry boards and Government forums, focused on technology skills development and strategic planning and is a Fellow of the Irish Computer Society.

 


Tolga Öncü

Tolga is the Ingka retail manager (COO) for Ingka Group where he is the overall responsible for market penetration, expansion, fulfilment and the commercial agenda. The Ingka Group consists of 379 IKEA stores including city stores across 31 markets, and counting, with 657 million visitors to these stores, and more than 3.8 billion visits to IKEA.com. Tolga has solid retail experience and has held various positions at IKEA. His first job was in 2002 as Logistics Manager at the Jönköping store in Sweden and later he continued as Sales Manager in the IKEA Örebro store in Sweden. In 2005, Tolga moved to Turkey to take on the role as Store Manager of IKEA Umraniye, Turkey and from 2008-2012 he was Deputy Country Sales Manager and Country Sales Manager at IKEA Sweden. In 2012, Tolga joined IKEA Spain, first as Deputy Country Retail Manager and he became Country Retail Manager in 2015. He has a Business Administration degree from of Mid Sweden University, Örnsköldsvik. Though he refers to him as a citizen of the world, Tolga is from Malmö where he is also resides with his wife and child.


Dr. Audrey Berquand

Dr. Audrey Berquand is a Research Fellow in Advanced Software Technologies at the European Space Agency (ESA). She is a recognised expert in the application of Natural Language Processing, Large Language Models, and Knowledge Graphs to the space field. Audrey has a strong background in space systems engineering and spent several years at ESA being involved in the early design phases of Earth Observation missions. Through her research she now strives to solve concrete issues met by her fellow space experts, for instance, facilitating their access to accumulated knowledge, and streamlining the design process of space missions.

 


Jeremy King

Jeremy King is Senior Vice President of Engineering at Pinterest, where he leads the company’s technical direction and oversees the engineering team. Previously, he was the CTO of Walmart, where he led the digital transformation effort of the company including customer technology, merchant technology and supply chain technology that covered all Walmart U.S. stores and eCommerce. Prior to that, King was Executive Vice President of technology at LiveOps, and Vice President of engineering and software development at eBay. He holds a bachelor’s degree in information technology from San Jose State University, and is an advisory board member for the CTO Forum, an organization that brings together senior leaders across the technology industry to collaborate on key issues and accelerate innovation across organizations.


Fabio Lunardi

Fabio Lunardi is an expert IT professional and people manager with over 25 years of international experience. He is Expertise in enterprise applications management, certified in ERP, CRM, E-procurement, and E-tendering. Accomplished in project management across Waterfall, Agile, and hybrid environments. Involved in the entire SDLC, from conception to delivery for a variety of industries from Aerospace & Defence to Automotive to Physics Research (at CERN). Holds a Master’s in Science from Dublin City University in Management Information Systems Strategy. Engaged in Diversity and Inclusion activities for the Finance Department at CERN.

Core topics of Dublin Tech Summit will include Future Machines including the expedited development of Space Tech, the Metaverse, Blockchain and Deep Tech.  Speakers and moderators will discuss, in depth, Future Enterprise and what the advances of AI & Machine Learning mean for society as well as the implications of Big Data and Cybersecurity. Also up for discussion will be the Future Us, how different our lives will look with the advent of Bioaugmentation and Smart Cities as well as Future Planet which will explore Futurism and Planetary Protection amongst other topics.
