The Business Show will return with an in-person event on October 6th at the Convention Centre, Dublin. A number of Irish business leaders are set to speak at the prestigious event.
The Business Show is a solutions-driven in-person event for the New Business Era centred on the theme ‘Rethinking Business’. The event programme will offer a comprehensive overview of our new business landscape. Experts and thought-leaders from all sectors will showcase best practice to unlock opportunities for businesses looking to a better and more sustainable future.
The Business Show
Launched in May 2020 at the very height of lockdown restrictions, TBS has enjoyed success as a series of engagements across digital platforms, which twice culminated in Ireland’s largest virtual summit. The Business Show 2022 is the third iteration of the event and marks the first in-person programme in the event’s history.

Dave Kirwan, Head of Technology, Accenture Ireland
Dave is a Managing director and leads Accenture’s Technology practice in Ireland, with responsibility for delivering services and technology consulting solutions that help clients meet their most pressing business challenges.
He has spent much of his career in the middle of large-scale business transformation engagements where Technology has been a key enabler, typically involving platforms such as SAP and Oracle. This has allowed him to work all over the globe, across many industries typically focusing on those with an Operations (manufacturing & logistics) focus.
Originally from Cork, he lives in Clontarf, Dublin with his wife, three children and 2 dogs. He is a keen sailor and spends as much of his time as possible on the water believing that every day not on the water is a day wasted.
Sandra Healy, CEO and Founder, Inclusio
Sandra is CEO and founder of inclusio. Sandra’s career spanned 20 years in the global telecoms industry and five years at Dublin City University where she established the DCU Centre of Excellence for Diversity and Inclusion.
She is an Organisational Psychologist who over the last 15 years, has championed and driven diversity and inclusion practice across industry and is considered a leading expert in this space. In 2014, she provided critical expertise and sectoral knowledge establishing the EU Diversity Charter Ireland.
Sandra is a member of the Expert Advisory Group for Ireland’s Citizens Assembly on Gender Equality and a member of the Diversity and Inclusion Leadership Council for An Garda Síochána (Ireland’s Police Force). Sandra won Entrepreneur of the Year at the Diversity in Tech Awards in 2021.
Dr Heather McKee, Behaviour Change Specialist
Dr Heather is Europe’s leading lifestyle behaviour change specialist. She has spent over 10 years in academia studying what it takes to create habits that last.
She has worked with over 100+ companies in 15+ industries to create evidence-based wellness programs and deliver keynote talks. Clients include lululemon, booking.com, Starbucks, Rituals, Unilever, HSBC, and Sainsbury’s.
Her work has been published in world-leading research journals as well 300+ media articles and she has been featured in Vogue, Time magazine, and The Times and she is a regular contributor to the BBC.
Colin Donnery, Group CEO of FRS Network, FRS Recruitment
Colin has been working in the recruitment industry since 1998. He became Group CEO of FRS Network, the multimillion-euro social enterprise co-operative in February 2022 having previously been General Manager of FRS Recruitment.
Colin is a board member and former President of the National Recruitment Federation, where he was awarded an honorary fellowship in 2015 for services to the industry. He has also previously served as a non-executive director with Macra na Feirme. He holds an MSc in Executive Leadership from Ulster University.
Gillian French, Expert-inResidence – Employee Experience, Workvivo
Gillian French is Expert-in-Residence – Employee Experience at Workvivo. She is a veteran Chief People Officer and an expert at scaling high-growth businesses and building strong organisational culture. Gillian is an organizational behaviourist, podcast host and industry speaker.
Prior to joining Workvivo, Gillian served as Chief People Officer at Cubic Telecom, where she oversaw all aspects of people strategy, development, culture, employee engagement, policies and practices. Gillian was previously Chief People Officer at CarTrawler, where she was an integral member of the leadership team for 12 years and scaled the business from 25 to 550 people. Before turning her skills to the technology sector, Gillian spent eight years at leading hotel group Jurys Doyle, where she held several senior leadership roles across a range of departments and properties.
She holds a Master’s in Business, a BA Degree in Travel & Tourism and Postgraduate Diplomas in Executive Coaching and Strategic Human Resources and Organizational Behavior.

Michelle Fogarty, Co-Founder of PepTalk & Entreprenuer in Residence at DogPatch Labs, PepTalk
Michelle is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development and holds a Degree in HR & Accounting, a diploma in Spinal Maintenance, NCEF and a number of other qualifications.
She is a former international athlete and has over 20 years experience leading top-tier organisations from a human capital perspective, including supporting a number of high-profile start-ups such as Twitter, Blizzard Entertainment, Beats by Dre*, B&Q (Kingfisher Group) & Tyco/Johnson Controls.
Michelle is currently an Entrepreneur in Residence at the start-up hub – Dogpatch Labs, she is also the co-founder of the award-winning workplace culture and wellbeing action platform – PepTalk, and a founding board member of SERI (national social enterprise representative body for Ireland).
Matt Kennedy, Director, Climate Services & Sustainability, Arup
Matt Kennedy (Phd) is an energy and environmental scientist and engineer, with over 20 years’ experience in delivering national and international carbon, climate and sustainable development initiatives across government, industry and academia. Matt leads carbon and climate change services and sustainable development for Arup across infrastructure and cities.
Matt was lead EU Negotiator for technology transfer at COP21 and was previously Chair of the UN’s Climate Technology Centre. In 2022 he facilitated negotiations on behalf of the UNFCCC in preparation for COP 27. Matt has worked with UN agencies across Africa, Asia and Middle East, helping countries to decarbonise and enhance their resilience to climate change. Matt holds a PhD in Engineering from Trinity College Dublin, and Masters’ degrees from NUI Galway and University College Dublin.
Matt George, Director – Enterprise Transformation, EMEA, Equinix
Matt joined Equinix in 2012 and runs a team of digital transformation advisors who support organisations across EMEA.
Sitting as an overlay between the regional sales and technical teams, the group directs and supports companies on ways to deploy and expand digital infrastructure on Equinix’s global interconnection platform.
Matt is also one of Equnix’s Global SME’s (Subject Matter Experts) and specialises in transformation best practice in the Content & Digital Media, Retail/Wholesale & Manufacturing sectors.
Prior to Equinix, Matt consulted for companies including Sky Germany and Ladbrokes. He started his career in the UK cable TV industry and held several senior marketing and business development positions at Flextech, TiVo, Sky and BT.
Eoin Hinchy, Co-founder & CEO, Tines
Eoin Hinchy is the co-founder and CEO of Tines, a no-code automation platform that helps the world’s leading security and ops teams automate their manual workloads. Prior to Tines, Eoin spent 15 years working in security at companies like eBay, PayPal, and DocuSign.
He has two engineering degrees – a Masters in Security and Forensic Computing from Dublin City University and an MBA from Imperial College London.
Áine Murray, Head of Marketing, Communications, Corporate Responsibility and Bid Support, Veolia
Áine heads up Marketing, Communications, Corporate Responsibility and Bid Support for Veolia in Ireland, being a member of the Leadership team.
Veolia’s Purpose is Ecological Transformation – to create a better and more sustainable future for all. With this, Veolia “Resources the world” through environmental services, helping organisations to sustainably manage their energy, water and waste Resources. Áine’s role is about ensuring Veolia brings that Purpose and Identity to life in its services and interactions with all Veolia’s stakeholders.
Áine is Vice President of the France-Ireland Chamber of Commerce, Deputy Chair of their Climate Response Working Group and represents Veolia in BITC’s Leaders Group on Sustainability.
Séamus Dunne, MD, Digital Realty
Séamus is Managing Director of Digital Realty. Séamus leads a team in providing state of the art, efficient and secure data centre facilities to local and global businesses of all sizes.
Séamus joined the team in 2019 having previously held the role of as VP and General Manager of Global Data Centre Services for HPE in Texas. There, he led the team to redesign HPE’s portfolio to an “as a service” model to match customer’s hybrid and multi-cloud IT strategies. Séamus holds a BSc from Trinity College Dublin.
Dr Aman Kwatra, Consultant Psychologist and Research Associate, Spectrum Life
Dr Aman Kwatra is a Chartered Counselling Psychologist (registered with the Psychological Society of Ireland and the British Psychological Society) and an avid Classicist.
He currently works with Spectrum Life as a ‘Consultant Psychologist and Research Associate’ and also guest lectures in Psychology at Trinity College Dublin. Aman has previously worked in primary and secondary mental health services, including the Irish Prison Service.
He is a published author and has relevant professional and educational background in diverse fields including, International Relations, Post-War Recovery and Mass Media.
Dónal Clancy, Managing Director, Laya Healthcare
Dónal Clancy has been in the healthcare industry for almost 30 years and has led the laya healthcare team through significant periods of transformational change.
With an extensive background in operational and customer-facing areas of business, Dónal’s strength in leadership is focused on creating an inclusive workplace with wellbeing at its heart. Laya Healthcare has been recognised as a Great Place to Work in Ireland and Europe and most recently was one of one three organisations in Ireland to be accredited with Investors in Diversity Gold.
Dónal is heavily involved at an industry level and is currently the Chair of the Health Insurance Council and incoming President of Insurance Ireland. He also sits on the UCC Business Information Systems Advisory Board and is a member of the Nationals Clinical Effectiveness Committee (NCEC).
Dónal holds a BSc in Computer Science and Mathematics and annually ensures Continuous Professional Development (CPD) for looking after its 650,000 members is up to date. Before taking on his role as Managing Director, Dónal held the roles of Director for Customer Service, IT Director and Operations Director. He also served as Director for Customer Service & Operations for BUPA, UK.
Amanda Nelson, CEO, Vodafone Ireland
Amanda Nelson has been with Vodafone for almost 25 years in various roles beginning in Asia in 1998 with Vodafone Japan, before moving to Europe to lead operations in the Netherlands, Malta and most recently Hungary, where she was CEO and Chair since 2018.
Amanda has driven digital innovation throughout her career through IT integration and transformation initiatives across the business. As a passionate advocate of diversity & inclusion programmes, Amanda strongly supports talent initiatives across Vodafone’s EU markets.
During her eight years at Vodafone Netherlands, Amanda held roles as Regional Finance Executive, Head of Finance Operations and then Marketing Director. After which she took up the role of CEO and Chair of Vodafone Malta in 2013.
Most recently as CEO of Vodafone Hungary, Amanda led digital change in the education and healthcare sector throughout the pandemic, enabling customers to adapt and thrive in response to their changing circumstances and needs. Under her tenure, 5G was rolled out in Budapest and other densely populated areas of the country.
Born in England, Amanda achieved a first-class honours degree in Classical Studies from the University of Bristol and has four teenage children with her husband Mark. She is a keen outdoor and adventure sport enthusiast and enjoys getting involved in her local community.
Dermot O’Leary, Chief Economist, Goodbody Stockbrokers
Dermot O’Leary is Chief Economist with Goodbody Stockbrokers, a position he has held since November 2004. He is responsible for the economics output of the research department. This role entails providing commentary and analysis for a large range of domestic and international clients through regular research reports and briefings.
This includes in-depth research on the Irish housing market. He is also a member of the company’s asset allocation committee. During Ireland’s adjustment programme with the EU/IMF, he was a regular private sector participant in the missions.
He is a regular contributor to economic debate in the domestic and international media (cited in the Financial Times, New York Times, Irish Times, among others) and author of a journal paper on deleveraging in Ireland. He has been the Number 1 Irish economist in the annual Extel awards for the past five years.
Kevin Empey, Managing Director, WorkMatters
Kevin Empey has specialised in organisation development, leadership development and people strategy for over 25 years. Author of “Thrive in the Future of Work”, he is Managing Director of WorkMatters which supports organisations with their Future of Work strategies, change management and enablement programmes.
Kevin has won several national and international awards for his work in the areas of future of work research, contribution to employment policy and social entrepreneurship.
He is also the Programme Director of the Senior Executive Programme at the Irish Management Institute and served as a member of the Government appointed Labour Market Council during the financial crisis.
