There were new and notable appointments this week at Lakeland Dairies, FSCom Limited, Baker Tilly Mooney Moore and Business Talk.
Colin Kelly, Group CEO Designate,
Lakeland Dairies
The Board of Lakeland Dairies has announced Colin Kelly as Group CEO Designate and will take up his appointment in January 2023. He is currently Managing Director for Trading and Member Relations at Ornua.
Mr. Kelly will succeed current Lakeland Dairies Group CEO Michael Hanley who earlier this year announced that he will retire in December.
Colin Kelly will join Lakeland Dairies having worked at Ornua since 2011, where he has held a range of senior finance and general management positions.
Prior to his current role at Ornua, he served as Head of Strategy Planning and Risk Management and before this as President and also as Chief Financial Officer of Ornua Ingredients North America. Before joining Ornua, he was a Senior Auditor with Deloitte. A native of Lusmagh, Co. Offaly, he is an Accounting and Finance graduate of University of Limerick and is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland.

Farmer-owned Lakeland Dairies collects 2 billion litres of milk from 3,200 farm families across 16 counties on a cross border basis. The co-operative makes a wide range of dairy food ingredients, foodservice and consumer products, which it exports to over 80 countries worldwide, in addition to comprehensive agribusiness operations.
Jill Michael, HR Director,
FSCom Limited
FSCom Limited (fscom), a consulting firm providing governance, risk and compliance solutions to financial services institutions in the UK and Ireland, has today announced the appointment of Jill Michael as HR Director. Jill will take on the responsibility for the strategic leadership of People and Talent at the consultancy.
The company described Ms. Michael as “passionate about diversity and inclusion”. She is part of the independent assessor panel for the Diversity Mark in Northern Ireland and Winner of the Women in Business ‘Advancing Diversity in the Workplace Award’.
A senior HR professional, Jill was previously Head of Talent within a leading law firm and brings almost two decades of HR experience to the role.

Julie Hamilton, Tax Manager; Lauren Patience, Tax Technician
Baker Tilly Mooney Moore
Belfast accountancy and advisory practice Baker Tilly Mooney Moore has welcomed two new tax professionals to its growing team. Julie Hamilton joins the firm as Tax Manager, while Lauren Patience takes on the role of Tax Technician.
With over 15 years’ experience, Julie joins with a background in mid-tier and Big 4 practices. Julie specialises in personal tax and will develop the company’s service in this area, particularly tax planning for high-net-worth individuals, sole traders, partnerships, and shareholders. A qualified Chartered Tax Adviser, Julie also advises on cross border issues, capital gains tax and inheritance tax.
Lauren is a qualified Accounts and Tax Technician with experience in personal tax, corporate tax, and VAT compliance. Also a tax planning adviser for individuals and business, she joins the firm from a mid-tier practice.
The appointments come amid a period of sustained growth for the tax team and right across the company which specialises in Audit & Assurance, Business Services, Consulting, Taxation and Restructuring & Insolvency.

Louise McBride, Account Manager,
Business Talk
Leading personal finance journalist Louise McBride has joined Irish financial services PR company, Business Talk, as account manager. Louise takes up the position following 15 years as personal finance editor with ‘The Sunday Independent’.
Established in 2003, Business Talk Ireland’s specialises in the financial services sector. Business Talk offers consultancy in the areas of external and internal communications, brand and profile building and crisis management, amongst others. Clients include a range of corporate and SME clients in the banking, insurance, tax, and related business sectors.
