Dominick Miciotta is the founder and CEO of GlobalWealth360, a global mobility and financial intelligence firm that helps individuals, families and businesses navigate international relocation. Having relocated his own family from the United States to Ireland, he is building a new model for global mobility that combines relocation, wealth planning and citizenship advisory services.
What are your main priorities and goals in your role?
My primary focus is on building the infrastructure of the company in a way that can sustain growth over the long term. At the highest level, our mission is to inspire people with the knowledge that financial intelligence and global citizenship go hand in hand.
What are your biggest challenges as CEO?
There is so much opportunity across our industry and among the professional service providers that support it. The challenge is ensuring we build in a scalable and sustainable way.
How do you keep your team motivated?
I believe motivation starts with hiring the right people.
We have been fortunate that our first hires were deeply aligned with our mission and vision. The same is true of the consultants and specialists who support us.
What are the biggest challenges facing the industry?
Artificial intelligence is changing how services are delivered, while increasing global mobility is creating new demand for expertise in cross-border tax, investment, inheritance planning and citizenship solutions.
And more people are seeking second citizenships and alternative residency options as they look to create opportunities for themselves and their families.
What new trends are emerging in the industry?
Artificial intelligence is undoubtedly one of the biggest trends.
The challenge for firms is figuring out how to leverage AI to improve efficiency and deliver better outcomes while still maintaining a personalised, human-centred experience.
Are there any major changes you would like to see in the industry?
I would like to see the industry continue moving towards what we call holistic global mobility.
From the very beginning, we have believed that financial intelligence should be integrated into relocation and mobility conversations.
At GlobalWealth360, we identify those needs during onboarding and incorporate them into the process. It doesn’t require a huge investment, but it can make a tremendous difference to the success of a relocation.
As an employer, are you finding any skill gaps in the market?
Generally speaking, we’ve been able to find the expertise we need.
How did your strategy develop in the context of the banking crisis and economic crisis?
We founded GlobalWealth360 two years ago, so we didn’t operate during the banking and economic crisis. But we’re now following the growing tension between labour demand and housing availability in Ireland closely.
How do you define success, and what drives you to succeed?
In America, success is often defined by acquisition and achievement. I grew up in difficult circumstances and was fortunate to experience what many would describe as the American dream.
Living in Ireland and spending time across Europe has given me a different perspective. Here, success often seems more closely connected to time, freedom and quality of life.
For me, success today is about having options.
What’s the best piece of business advice you’ve ever received?
Your direction should be steady, and your methods should be flexible.
What advice would you give to others starting in business?
Alongside being flexible, keep focused on your goal and take consistent action towards it.
What have been your highlights in business over the past year?
Growing our online presence and becoming known in the global mobility industry.
What’s next for your company?
We’re continuing to grow our B2B offering, and we’ve just launched our B2C offering.
Where would you like GlobalWealth360 to be this time next year?
I would like the business to achieve profitability and continue building recognition as a trusted source of information for globally mobile individuals and families.
What is the best book you’ve ever read (non-business) and why?
I have more than just one. They’re all books that explore identity, belonging and the courage it takes to live a life that doesn’t fit neatly into expectations:
- The Prophet by Kahlil Gibran.
- Man’s Search for Meaning by Viktor Frankl.
- The Godfather by Mario Puzo.
What is your favourite hobby and why?
My family and I have discovered RyanAir! And we’re thoroughly enjoying discovering Europe.
What is your mantra for life?
Amor fati – love your fate. My personal philosophy is rooted in Stoicism.
